I went with my friend a Saturday morning. Clean, cozy place. We order bolon de verdes, bollo de pescado, hallaca and black coffee. OMG food was delicious!! Staff was very friendly. But my company was the best, he really enjoy the food, portions were big! This was our last time we went out after he passed away, always in my mind PJ.

What a great caldo de bola. Full of meat and tasty. The broth was great. Very Ecuadorian! We also had the Bandeja ecuatoriana- shrimp ceviche, guatita and seco de chivo. The shrimp ceviche could have used more acid and tomatoes, but it was good. The guatita was spot on. So freaking good! It's tripe in a peanut sauce thing. So good. But you have to like tripe. Seco de chivo (goat stew) was also so tasty. My dad liked the sausage soup, my wife wasn't too impressed with her chicken soup but that's her fault for playing it safe lol. Also the quacker was so good. It's like passionfruit and oatmeal had a great baby. Overall this is a good Ecuadorian spot. Dont get chicken soup, be ballsy and try something crazy. My number one was that caldo de bola (plantain ball stuffed with beef soup) expect weird service though. One person gets a meal, 10 mins later another does... But whatever just share it all

Usually Ecuadorian restaurants in New York are either empty or not popular. This one is the first restaurant that is always packed with people, and I get why.... THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! I'm not a fan of Ecuadorian food, but the food at this restaurant is so good. My favorite is "Bolones de platanos"!
